Feasibility Studies
1- Site Facilities

PANORAMIC
PANORAMA (1)
OF THE SOUTH-WEST VIEW

View of the southwest area of the site where
G, D & M center lines pass (the center lines match those in the
drawings). The Doctors' residence and Nurses' School are clearly
seen.
PANORAMA (2)
OF WEST VIEW

The west edge of the site where
the mechanical, electrical, and sanitary plant rooms are located--no
service entrance is available and the service yards are absent,
though these existed in the architectural drawings. Available site
area became small thus no major newly built-up area or premises can
be added.
PANORAMA (3)
OF EAST VIEW

On the roof of the first floor looking east--the two pent-houses and
the inner courtyards can be seen. Extra air duct works are added on
the roof to serve the operating theaters, as the old HVAC system
lacked efficiency. Roofing and waterproofing has deteriorated and
needs replacement (this system does not match Iraqi local climatic
and other conditions). (See Typical Section –Hospital Roof)
PANORAMA (4)
OF SOUTH VIEW

Looking at the penthouse (south side) and the main courtyard
well--the northern penthouse can be seen, too. The gravel final
layer of the waterproofing of the deck slab roof can be
seen.
PANORAMA (5)
OF EAST VIEW

Looking at the east side of the
building, the main frontal street (2 sides). Parking area for
patients and visitors is limited so cars are kept outside the site,
thus causing traffic jams and congestion between pedestrians and
traffic flow.
