The center is specialized in treating the pains of ear, nose and
throat. Concentrating to prepare a suitable functional program for
these activities the design contains as much as possible of the
required functional activities for such kind of health facility.
Thus, concentrating on the treatment area in the way that allows the
largest number of patients in the center, in addition to provide
entertainment facilities, which are vital and important to such
centers, was considered.
The Designing Idea
The designing idea depended on the common style of Iraqi ancient
cities which are featured of having the “Court” and having the
zigzags and shatters in the old allies which usually end with an
open area.
Thus, the shape of the ancient
Baghdadian House with the central area was figured and the shatters
were inserted
in addition to dislodging the central area to outside.
Then transferring it to a solid mass to
occupy the function of the vertical movement of the project and
making some modifications to fit with the requirements of the
project's nature, and to the aesthetic side of the project and the
technological developments.
